A nurse who holds a Bachelor's degree in nursing will have significant advantages in securing employment over a nurse who holds a diploma or Associate's degree. Many entry level nursing positions either require or strongly prefer applicants with four year degrees over nurses coming through a diploma/certificate program or an Associate's degree program.
