Becoming a registered LPN has become one of the most sought after jobs within the nursing field. If one is interested in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse within the state of Alabama, there are certain prerequisites and considerations that one must consider before moving forward with their education. Of those prerequisites include the completion of an LPN education program and passing the licensing examination which is a requirement in all 50 states. If you have an out of state LPN license, you can apply for a transfer from the Alabama Board of Nursing.

All approved programs contain a certain type of minimum elements, including but not limited to a full academic year in length, classroom training as well as hands on training.
