Earn your BSN degree and become a Registered Nurse

The application must be accompanied by a copy of the applicant’s LPN license, a transcript of grades from any previous college education, a letter of good standing from the director of previously attended school if the nursing program is not completed, documentation of any nursing related experience and documentation of proficiency in English, if applicable. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Application to a particular school does not mean automatic acceptance.

The application can be filled out and submitted online to the Board of Nursing, who will review the application and approve or deny it. When approved, the exam candidate must register to take the exam using the “Authorization to take the exam” code provided by the Board of Nursing. The candidate will also be provided with a list of testing centers and instructions to schedule the exam. If the application to take the exam is denied, the applicant will be notified in writing.

The application to take the NCLEX-RN exam includes two passport size photo’s taken within 6 months of the application, a fingerprint card, copy of the applicant’s LPN license and a transcript of grades from the school attended. The transcript must be sent directly from the school to the Board of Nursing.
